Experience
Kay started work at the practice that became Mac Dental in 1994, when the practice was a small one surgery practice in the town centre of Macclesfield. She has seen many changes at that practice over the years including moving premises, and enjoys seeing how the practice and the team has grown and how much they have achieved in this time.
She began her career as a receptionist, trained as a dental nurse, worked her way up to Practice Manager of Mac Dental and is now General Manager for the dental practices in the Rauf Wellington Group.
She really loves it when a patient attends one of the practice and they are really nervous but leave the practice confident and happy to come back for more treatment because of the care that they have received from the team and this has happened many times over the years.
She also loves how no two days are the same, she does finance, IT, Compliance, HR, Maintenance, Health and Safety, and staff training on a daily basis and you may also see her working on reception or in surgery dental nursing across the practices.
Outside of work
Her hobbies include spending time with friends and family, travelling, hiking, listening to music and singing along badly. She is also a bit of a pool shark on the quiet.
A fun fact about Kay is that she is a retired trophy winning race car driver.
